We held our daughter and son-in-law to be’s Wedding Reception here on Saturday 14th August 2010. From the start we were impressed by the helpful and friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Donna Peachey oversaw the arrangements, and showed her experience and expertise in a friendly and helpful manner. David was in charge on the day to see that everything ran smoothly and according to plan – and it did!

My sincere thanks and complements to all who were in any way involved in the preparation, planning, cooking, serving and presenting of a memorable and wonderful meal at our daughter’s Wedding Reception.

The position of the Cavendish Pavilion, adjacent to the River Wharfe is a perfect setting for the wedding photography.

All in all I can unreservedly recommend this venue, particularly for the value, quality and quantity of the food served at a Wedding Reception.

We were also impressed at the amount of food served. By the time most of the guests had arrived at the sweet course, they were already commenting that they would only have a little of the sweet as they were so full!!! Needless to say, after tasting the Lemon Tart & sorbet most of them managed to clear their plates!!!!!

Each course was impeccably presented and tasted just as good as it looked. Without exception I heard nothing but very favourable comments on the standard of service, the presentation of the food and the tastiness of the food. I overheard one guest who said “I’ve been to lots of restaurants and wedding receptions and the food here was unsurpassed.

To all the amazing staff at The Devonshire Arms. We can’t thank you enough for making our wedding so magical; it was the best day of our lives. All the staff were fantastic and helped make our day special. The Devonshire Arms is a beautiful hotel and we look forward to cel;berating our anniversaries there with you! We have just enjoyed the most fantastic wedding at The Devonshire Fell. From the moment we arrived on the morning of the wedding until our departure the following day we were made to feel completely at home and confident in the professional approach of all staff.  Everyone, from babies to octogenarians, had a wonderful day in the most beautiful of settings. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for creating the most memorable of days.

The freedom that the wide open space next to the river provided to our guests was a wonderful change from the normal wedding venue. It almost felt like having our wedding under the stars.

Everyone was so relaxed and because we had the whole hotel exclusively to ourselves, we did not have to worry about disturbing any other guests that might have stayed.
